We bought blankets, books, pens and biscuits.
The school/hostel is for children from the surrounding tribal areas. Their families are very poor. Many children did not have sandals. They slept in the same rooms they studied in. Each child had all of their possessions locked away in a small trunk.
That winter Sachin experienced unusually cold weather. The blankets made a huge difference. The Principal sent us a post card saying that we were thought of every day and thanking us again.
